The first thing you notice when you open the Sabre 1 package is that it comes with everything you need to make your first voice or data call. The standard package includes a handset, cables, battery and AC Charger. The unit also comes with a very handy carrying case that has straps to use the case as a backpack. Popular options for the Sabre 1 are a Bluetooth Handset, Extra Battery and a Pelican 1510 carrying case with custom foam inserts. The Pelican 1510 is designed as a roll aboard case that meets airline requirements for carry-on baggage.

The Sabre 1 has an RJ-11 jack which allows the user to plug in the included handset or any other analog phone or PBX and start making phone calls. With voice prices as low as $0.85 per minute, bgan voice service over the Sabre 1 is an outstanding value. One of the strong points of the Sabre 1 is its Bluetooth functionality. By utilizing the optional Bluetooth (version 1.2) handset users can access the terminal from up to 100 meters away to make voice calls.

The Sabre 1 provides a full range of packet switched data services. In addition to E-mail, messaging, and Internet access, the Sabre 1 supports video conferencing as well as video streaming up to 64 kbps
