Activating Your Service
Your Australia SIM card will provide you with an Australia cellular phone number that is printed on the reverse of the SIM card packaging and is labeled "Your Pre-Paid Mobile Number:" and begins 04.
Insert the Australia SIM card into the mobile phone*
Be sure that battery is charged
Set your cell phone to the GSM 900/1800 frequency (as needed)
Dial 125 8887 from your cell phone to activate your service, or you can activate online at www.telstra.com/prepaid

*You will need to snap out the thumbnail sized Australia SIM card along the perforated edge of its holder and then insert the Australia SIM card into your international cell phone with the gold contacts of the Australia SIM card facing the metal contacts of your international cellular phone.
**When calling overseas from the United States to your Australia cell phone number callers will need to dial 011 followed by the country code 61 and then your Australia cell phone number. To call abroad from your Australia cell phone simply dial 00 followed by the country code and phone number. For example, to call UStronics you would dial 00 (or +) 1 7034444077.

Adding Talk Time
To credit/add airtime to your SIM chip, you will need to purchase recharge cards which are available at most convenient stores, tabac shops and petrol stations, conveniently located throughout Australia.
Scratch off the gray panel to reveal your airtime top-up code.
Dial 125 8885 and follow the voice prompts to add the top up code
Do not purchase another Australia SIM card when your airtime credit is depleted!

Service Life
Telstra Prepaid Plus air credits are valid for 6 months once you have activated your recharge PIN.
If your balance falls to zero, a 30 day grace period applies - during this period you can only receive calls or recharge. If you have not recharged after 30 days your number will be disconnected from the network.
